TIME AND MONEYWhen was the last time you stood in awe of something? Or were amazed by a beautiful sight? How often are you stuck in traffic, work or school instead? Doing these mundane, routine day-to-day activities while your life passes you by. Feeling like you're in "limbo" waiting for something, ANYTHING to happen. Well folks, Id like to enlighten you on why you should be traveling! First things first, unless you have the type of job where you can take frequent time off AND the money to keep a home, you're going to need to make some changes.
Time And Money
It can be hard to find the time and money to travel. But I can assure you from personal experience it is well worth it. You're going to need to slim down your things. Most of us can't bring along our entire lives when we go somewhere. So you're going to need to learn the art of packing the essentials. What do you need? And what can you live without? Personally, I bought a van, lots of camping gear, and ditched a TON of household items. I have friends all over the US so I'm able to visit them in between the festivals and sights we want to see. I am on the move ALL the time! And since I make my money selling T-shirts from my attached trailer, I am free to go where my van can take me. Find "work" that you can take on the road to make money. Working online works great for travelers! It’s the perfect outlet for money when you can bring a laptop anywhere.
Not About Getting Rich
But remember, being rich out here is not the goal. As long as I have food in my belly, gas in my van and have made a couple friends in my temporary place of residence...I am HAPPY. You should learn to accept this as well. Long travel isn't for everyone. You could be considering a shorter trip. That's great too. In this case you'll want to make good transportation arrangements. I can tell you that even though flying is faster (and has an amazing view if you get lucky enough for a window seat) my family prefers train. There is PLENTY of space for your stuff. Its cheaper, more spacious and since railroads have there own paths, uncluttered by roads, you'll often get a great view of your trip! I highly recommend this mode of travel if you haven't already tried it.
WHERE YA GOIN'?
Next I guess is, WHERE YA GOIN? What do you want to see? Who kind of people do you want to meet? Are you seeking excitement or relaxation? What kind of food do you want to eat? Do you want sunshine or rain? Beaches or Mountains? Woods? How about snow? These are all excellent questions to ask yourself when considering your travel. Just make sure that wherever you go, you pack accordingly. No one wants to repurchase things they already have because they forgot to bring it. I have made this mistake myself MANY times! What I find the best about traveling is the never-ending excitement. I rarely have dull moments when I’m always around new people. With new things to do, make, see, hear and taste. You never know, you're "calling" that you've been waiting for could be in Bangladesh or Singapore. You could take one step in those places and discover something inside of you that makes you feel at home.
While you're wasting away swiping on these dating sites, did you know that the LOVE of your life, your SOULMATE, could be in the Philippians? Or Germany? Or Finland? There is SO much OUT there!! And it's all welcoming you, waiting for you to take that step. With all of these benefits of traveling I can't see why we as a people ever stopped. Only question now is, where are you going next?
